Eastbound is primarily an invite-only game — each existing player can currently invite up to one person per month, or get in touch about further invites. Existing players can hold two characters in game. A third character can be applied, if players can prove they have met activity requirements for two consecutive months with their existing two characters and have stayed engaged with the game. If you don't have an invite, somehow stumbled upon this neck of the woods, and you’d like to stay, drop the mod journal a line — we'll try to figure it out.
As of Oct. 1, cast/game caps are off. Please note, as of Dec. 1, Eastbound only has 3-4 months of gameplay left.
WHAT CHARACTERS CAN BE APPLIED?
YES: canon and original characters, if they have a solid and consistent personality and background. Characters brought in after they've died are a-okay. For characters taken from a time point just as they're in the process of dying, please read below on meeting medical requirements.
NO (at this time): real people, original characters set in a canon environment, characters from canons or canon instalments that have been released for less than one month, characters with imported development from other games (CRAU), alternate universe, or gender-swapped versions of canon characters.
Children or characters with very specific medical/magical/environment needs: appable, but please make a note of how your character will ICly meet their requirements and stay alive. Likewise, if you are applying for a character taken just as they're dying, provide a suggestion for how they can be kept alive on arrival (this might be easier in some app cycles than others). You can bend the world a little to make miracles happen (ex: a substitute for the medication your character needs to survive can be found for a high price at certain apothecaries, etc.)
Characters that were dropped or swept by activity checks: yes, but they’ll come back without their previous memories, if they are applied in by a different player.

Heya — two items:
— we can keep the pet fox, but it's down to Lilah to figure out how to keep it alive, especially during travel
— we may now and then have to disrupt or reduce Lilah's telepathic reach, and I'll depend on you to get opt-in consent from players who want to be subjected to it
If the above sounds okay:
Please pick from of a list comprising pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony/drunkenness, wrath and sloth/indifference:
— two sins that will form the basis of her ancestral curse inherited from a villager of Ke-Waihu
— the sin you think she is guiltiest of

- envy + wrath
- sloth

ADMIN
NOTES
To their endless joy and consternation, they may find they have been adopted as the… found children of these beasts, who walk them on to a large lake, where other villagers have likewise been rallied and taken captive. The undead lord Beastmaster, who is visiting Ke-Waihu, appears to be holding court over his creatures and their prey, sending his animals to search through the forests and giving them a scrap of coarse, red cloak to smell and learn its scent. It appears they must locate any signs of the cloak’s former wearer. The Beastmaster himself releases some of the captive villagers, but is distracted by the call of a long, serpentine woman with a large head and hair that braids into her tail.
From here, Lilah and Eda can help each other slither away from their beastly captors unnoticed, can combine forces to help some of the other captives escape, can use their found communicator devices to get in touch with the network at large and coordinate a rescue, or... whatever comes to mind! Feel free to use the latest log to make your relevant top levels/threads, start new logs, make network posts — whatever works!
Once she reaches the village of Ke-Waihu in the morning, Lilah encounters Taksui, who recognises her as an otherworlder. Taksui informs her that she has reached the world of Akhuras, where undead factions battle each other and the living for control. The undead summon otherworldly reinforcements, to enslave or weaponise them in the conflict. Taksui serves as liaison to the elusive Merchant, who finds and transports such newcomers east, where beacons might return the visitors back to their home worlds.
Lilah is introduced as a new member of the Ke-Waihu village and asked to or tricked into drinking an elixir that will let her take over and atone for the sins of a village ancestor. Devout villagers believe this will gradually right the wrongs that have infected the community. You can find her ancestral curse here — enjoy figuring out how to atone for it! Check out how ancestral curses manifest and decide which of his two sins you’d like to play with.
Lilah has also received a ’family unit’ and housing assignment. The villagers of Ke-Waihu believe the housemates are genuinely part of a family or clan — so try to cozy up.
