If you are opting to play from the Untamed, unfortunately you won't be able to have Xichen's background include references to fierce corpses. If you prefer to go with the Mo Dao Zu Shi version, please clarify on the Taken List. Since the two character versions are very similar in Xichen's case, it's still possible to make that swap.
