Red goes through a year of high school relatively normally with the friends she escaped with who graciously take her in, but then Hades catches up to her, frightening her in nightmares that he will come for her and those she loves. This sends her on the run where she falls in love and loses that love, learns her true purpose as someone connected to both life and death now, and starts to fulfill it. Her universe is in between multiple different afterlives, and she's in the rare position to help them move on to the one most suited to them. Through the years, she becomes a Private Investigator to make money while doing her supernatural responsibilities, but is ultimately tracked down by Hades again before the beacon pulls her back in.
