NOTES
Canon point: there are two options — either he comes in battered and wounded, and one of the two lovely medical healing ladies who are also fresh arrivals patches him up (or maybe they both do). Some help from the arrival group caretaker — the sorceress Karsa — could also get him back up on his feet long enough to get on that train. Once there, he can spend most of the train ride in recovery mode, allowing you to dip in and out. But that would require you to have a word with the player(s) of Adrienne and/or Claire on the CR meme and work out a battle plan. As this is an easy CR opportunity, they're likely to agree. (There are other healer types in the party, who could offer additional help, once Dean is on the train. )
