Thank you for your application!

ADMIN

  • When you have a second, have a last read through the game rules and comment to the TAKEN LIST.

  • Join [community profile] eastbound, [community profile] lostcompass, [community profile] westwhere. Feel free to make an OOC intro post on [community profile] lostcompass, if you want!

  • All game-relevant updates will be posted on [community profile] lostcompass, but you can also consider following [plurk.com profile] eastbound. There is an informal optional game discord server — you’ll get a private message with an invite, once you comment to the Taken List.

  • Like it says on the application page tin — you can have a maximum of three characters in the game, and you can invite one new person in per month.

  • If you’re not already served on that front, we have some custom codes to help you set up a character inbox or permissions post. Both are entirely optional, and feel free to customise at will!

  • Your character is exempted from activity requirements this month.

    NOTES

  • As a heads up, since you mention aviophobia — the upcoming Arc IV will unfortunately involve some time on aerial ships. There will be many city-bound plot options too, so you should have enough for McCoy to do without throwing him into the air. This may not be a challenge for you at all, since you note he seems to have overcome his phobia in his later years, but as a general PSA.

  • The medical tricorder is generally fine, but you’d have to figure out how to recharge it, and it cannot receive or transmit information from or to off-world stations.

  • INTRO McCoy is roped into the party during our latest event. He becomes a nominal member of the Queen Zanyra — he can travel by rowboat and spend time on the Pariah, but he is guaranteed a sleeping hammock and a meal on the Queen Zanyra.

If McCoy accepts to serve medical shifts aboard the Pariah and Queen Zanyra, he may notice the following two items:

    ■ The sailors of the Queen Zanyra appear to all be consuming a very light opiate recreationally. The substance does not critically impair them, but seems to keep them relatively at ease, at the small price of softly dulling their senses.

    ■ Aboard the Pariah, captain Quicksilver Sam appears to also be consuming (significantly higher) quantities of opiates to keep his nerves under check. He displays a weakened immunity system, brittle nails and thinned hair, and his efforts to recover some weight after a significant loss are still ongoing.

The captain of the Queen Zanyra, Caladan Kreil, notably declines any invitations for a medical consultation, claiming he is in perfect health.

Please consider letting the rest of the Scooby Gang know what’s up at some point, if/when you’ve snooped more information.

...or leave them in the dark, they’re pretty terrible people.
