ADMIN

  • When you have a second, have a last read through the game rules and comment to the TAKEN LIST.

  • Join [community profile] eastbound, [community profile] lostcompass, [community profile] westwhere. Feel free to make an OOC intro post on [community profile] lostcompass, if you want!

  • All game-relevant updates will be posted on [community profile] lostcompass, but you can also consider following [plurk.com profile] eastbound. There is an informal optional game discord server — you’ll get a private message with an invite, once you comment to the Taken List.

  • Like it says on the application page tin — you can have a maximum of three characters in the game, and you can invite one new person in per month.

  • If you’re not already served on that front, we have some custom codes to help you set up a character inbox or permissions post. Both are entirely optional, and feel free to customise at will!

  • Your character is exempted from activity requirements this month.

    NOTES

  • ‘We’ll be your trigger’ is a very title-drop kind of line.

  • Funnily enough, being a performer could end up giving Tenn a fair bit to do, since the group’s previously tended to use entertainers as covers or diversions during infiltration, or as first diplomatic points when they need to earn some favour. However, if you find Tenn’s too difficult to keep alive because he lacks supernatural abilities or combat training, give a shout — we can fix him up with a NPC mercenary escort in the upcoming Arc.

  • INTRO since you’re going with a plot-light arrival, Tenn can join the party during our latest event. Our plot assignment signs-ups go up over the weekend — if you change your mind and want a taste of something with more plot protein, have a browse of what’s on offer.

Tenn stays a nominal member of the Queen Zanyra — he can travel by rowboat and spend time on the Pariah as much and as often as he likes, but he is always guaranteed a sleeping hammock and a meal on the Queen Zanyra.

If Tenn does reveal his gifts as an entertainer, prepare for him to be dutifully mobbed by pirates who’ve not enjoyed a decent performance for months and will shower him with coin and nag him into singing the same dull, raunchy or emotional tune again. And again. And again. As the ship bard, he’d gain a few more sleeping cushions, pirates would help him with tasks and treat him kinder, and he’d be welcome to additional dinner servings.

...but, by God, do they only want to hear That One Song.
