Whenever Nami slips into a locked space (bathroom, latched hideaway, closed-off room...), she hears a faint or shrill gunshot just outside her door. At times, she might hear, but never quite discern the words, of a woman — perhaps a perfect stranger, perhaps her mother. The sound is unsettling enough to wake her, if she is sleeping in a locked room. No one else but her can hear this, and there is never anyone there, or any sign of a gun or gunshot, if she studies the area.
